MUMBAI TARGET NET-ZERO CARBON EMISSIONS BY 2050
·
Mumbai
announced its detailed framework to ‘zero out carbon emissions by 2050’ and
became the first city in South Asia to set such a target.
·
Mumbai’s
target is 20 years ahead of India’s target to reach net zero
emissions by 2070.

AVB TO ESTABLISH INDIA’S 1ST ‘WORLD PEACE CENTER’ IN GURUGRAM, HARYANA
·
Ahimsa
Vishwa Bharti (AVB) organization will establish India’s first World Peace
Center in Gurugram, Haryana. The Center will work for the establishment
of peace and harmony in the world.

The
Organization will conduct programs of Peace Education, prepared with the
coordination of ancient knowledge and modern science for students, teachers,
youth, women, doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc.
3. T RAJA KUMAR APPOINTED PRESIDENT
OF THE FATF
·
The
Financial Action Task Force (FATF) appointed T. Raja Kumar of Singapore
as the President.
·
This
is the first time Singapore is taking charge of the FATF presidency.
·
FATF The
FATF is an intergovernmental organisation established by the G7 (Canada,
France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, United States and European
Union) to prevent and combat money laundering, terrorism, and proliferation
finance.

4. WORLD ROTARACT DAY 2022 – 13TH MARCH
·
World
Rotaract Day is annually observed on 13th March to recognise and appreciate the
service provided by the Rotaractors, members of Rotaract Clubs, across the
globe (Roctract, meaning rotary in action).
5. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MATHEMATICS 2022 – MARCH 14
·
The
International Day of Mathematics (IDM) is annually observed across the globe on
14th March to celebrate mathematics and connect maths with all sorts of
subjects, fields, and ideas.
·
In
several countries, March 14 (3/14) is celebrated as Pi Day to celebrate the
mathematical constant π (pi), which is also known by the Greek letter tau
().
·
The
theme for the 2022 IDM by
IDM314.org is “Mathematics Unites”.
