1. THE CITY OF FUZHOU (CHINA) WILL HOST THE 44TH SESSION OF THE WORLD HERITAGE COMMITTEE IN 2020
The Chinese city of Fuzhou will host the 44th session of the World Heritage Committee in 2020.
Tian Xuejun, Chinese Vice Minister of Education was elected as chairman of the 44th  session of the committee.

2. SHAH RUKH KHAN TO BE CONFERRED WITH AN HONORARY DOCTORATE BY MELBOURNE’S LA TROBE UNIVERSITY
In recognition of the contributions and efforts towards underprivileged children, women’s empowerment through Meer Foundation and for the achievements in the Indian entertainment industry, Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood actor, will be felicitated with an Honorary Degree, from Melbourne-based La Trobe University at the 10th edition of Indian Film Festival of Melbourne at Bundoora, Australia.
It will be Khan’s first Australian University Award.


3. SENIOR BJP LEADER KALRAJ MISHRA APPOINTED HIMACHAL GOVERNOR & ACHARYA DEVVRAT MOVED TO GUJARAT
Senior BJP leader and former union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Kalraj Mishra appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
He replaced Acharya Devvrat.
Devvrat has been transferred and appointed as the Governor of Gujarat replacing Om Prakash Kohli.

4. ICC MEN’S WORLD CUP 2019
The ICC Men’s World Cup 2019 was the 12th Cricket World Cup held in England and Wales.
The Finals were held at the Lord’s Cricket Ground between New Zealand and England.
England lifted the first World Cup title beating New Zealand on boundary count after both the match and the subsequent Super Over finished as ties.
Kane Stuart Williamson of New Zealand was named as the Player of the Tournament.
Ben Stokes of England was awarded the Man of the Match.

5. 2019 WIMBLEDON CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2019 Wimbledon Championships was the 133rd edition, a grass court major Championship was the 3rd Grand Slam tournament of the year after the “Australian open” and “French open”.
  • Men’s Singles won by Novak Djokovic defeating Roger Federer.
  • Women’s Singles won by Simona Halep defeating Serena Williams.
  • Men’s Doubles  won by Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah defeating Nicolas Mahut and Édouard Roger-Vasselin.
  • Women’s Doubles won by Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová defeating Gabriela Dabrowski and Xu Yifan.
  • Mixed Doubles  won by Ivan Dodig and Latisha Chan defeating Robert Lindstedt and Jeļena Ostapenko.

6. LEWIS HAMILTON WINS SIXTH BRITISH GRAND PRIX.
Lewis Hamilton made a thrilling victory in the Silverstone circuit to win his sixth British Grand Prix, his seventh victory in ten races in 2019 and the 80th win of his career.

7. FERNANDO CORBATO, THE INVENTOR OF COMPUTER PASSWORD PASSED AWAY
Prominent American computer scientist, credited with inventing the computer password, Fernando J. Corbato at Newburyport in Massachusetts U.S.  
In 1990, he received the A. M. Turing Award, widely considered the computing field’s equivalent of the Nobel Prize.
He is also a pioneer in the development of time-sharing operating systems known as MIT Compatible Time-Sharing System.

8. WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY 2019: JULY 15
The United Nations observes 15 July every year as World Youth Skills Day.
This year the UN’s observance of the World Youth Skills Day will shed light on the mechanisms needed to operationalize lifelong learning and raise awareness about the importance of youth skills development.
