1. ‘CITIZEN PORTAL’ LAUNCHED BY ODISHA GOVERNMENT
i. Odisha Government has launched citizen portal www.citizenportal-op.gov.in to facilitate citizens with various services.
ii. It was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneshwar.
iii. The citizen portal will provide services such as character certificates, issuance of FIR copies, registration of missing permissions, tenant’s verification, , employee’s verification and registration of lost property.

2. ‘ASHISH BAHUGUNA’ GIVEN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF FSSAI
i. Ashish Bahuguna, the Chairman of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India was given an additional charge of Chief Executive Officer of FSSAI.
ii. Food Safety and Standards Authority of India was instituted under Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 in August 2011.
iii. FSSAI is an agency of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare for protecting and promoting public health through the regulation and supervision of food safety.
3. ‘SPECIAL KHADI UTSAV ‘LAUNCHED BY GUJRAT GOVERNMENT
i. Gujarat Government has launched a special Khadi Utsav in Ahmedabad.
ii. It is launched to promote khadi on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 146th birth anniversary.
iii. The main aim of Khadi Utsav is to introduce wide range of khadi apparels both for men and women.
iv. To promote Khadi, state Government has announced a special 25 per cent discount on all khadi products manufactured in Gujarat, while 15 per cent rebate on Khadi produced in other state.
4. ‘TRICHY CORPORATION’ WON SKOCH AWARD FOR EFFECTIVE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
i. The Tiruchirapalli City Municipal Corporation awarded with Skoch Smart Governance Award for Achieving Operational Excellence in Waste Transportation using Information and Communication Technology based solutions.
ii. The award was given by Skoch, a Gurgaon-based group that deals with social issues.
iii. The city corporation used radio frequency identification system for effective solid waste management in the city.
iv. Radio-frequency identification is the wireless use of electromagnetic fields to transfer data to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects. The tags carry electronically stored information.
