1. WORLD YOUTH SKILLS DAY

FOUR INITIATIVE FOR SKILL INDIA VISION:
i. Union
Government launched four initiatives as part of Skill India Vision.
ii. four initiative launched are:
(i) National
Policy for skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015
(ii) National
Skill Development Mission (NSDM)
(iii) Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
(iv) Skill Loan Scheme
3. KEROSENE SUBSIDY CAP AT RS 12 PER LITRE:
i. Union Government has decided to cap kerosene
subsidy at Rs. 12 per litre.
ii. At present kerosene is sold through PDS at
14.96 ruppes per litre.
iii. Actual cost of Kerosene is 33.47 rupees

4. RAILWAY LINE UNDER PPP MODEL INAUGURATED IN
GUJARAT:
i. India’s first railway line built under PPP
model inaugurated in Gujarat.
ii. Railway minister, Suresh Prabhu inaugurated
the Broad-Guage railway line between Gandhidham and Tuna-Tekra
port in Gujarat.

5. RAKESH
SAHNI BECOMES CHAIRMAN OF NARMADA VALLEY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY:
i. Rakesh Sahni is appointed as Chairman of
Narmada Valley Development Authority (NDDA)
ii. Rakesh
Sahni is an IAS officer of 1972 batch.
