1. RAILWAY MINISTRY INAUGURATED INTEGRATED SECURITY SYSTEM:
i. Union Railway Ministry Inaugurated Integrated Security System in Mumbai.
ii. Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu Inaugurated ISS at 4 Railway Stations in Mumbai:
a. chatrapati Shivaji Terminus
b. Dadar
c. Kurla
d. Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)
2. INDIA SIGNED 5 MOU WITH THAILAND:
i. India and Thailand signed 5 MoUs during the Ist meeting of India-Thailand Joint Commission.
ii. Documents were signed by the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Gen Tanasak Patimapragorn.
3. NATIONAL STATISTICS DAY OBSERVED:
i. 9th National Statistics Day was observed on 29th June around the Nation.
ii. The theme for 9th National Statistics Day was, ‘Social Development’.
iii. The day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Late Prof. Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis.
4. SHIMLA DRNKING WATER PROJECT APPROVED FOR WORLD BANK FUNDING:
i. Union Government has approved Shimla drinking water project for world Bank funding.
ii. Under this project, World Bank will provide a loan of 514 crore Rupees and remaining 129 crore will be provided by the state government.
