INDIA & USA SIGN MOU TO BOOST CYBERCRIME INVESTIGATION
COOPERATION
·
The
Government of India (GoI) signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MoU) with the Government of the United States of America (USA) to enhance
collaboration in cybercrime investigations.
·
The MoU was signed by Indian Ambassador Vinay Kwatra and
Acting USA Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristie
Canegallo in Washington DC, the USA.
·
This
agreement aims to bolster India-USA security
cooperation, addressing interconnected issues
like terrorism, drug trafficking, human trafficking, money laundering, and
other common security challenges linked to cybercrime.
·
In
India, the implementation of the agreement will be handled by the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) under
the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
2.
INDIA, FRANCE PARTNERSHIP IN HIGH-END TECHNOLOGY
SECTORS
·
India
and France agreed to deepen their bilateral partnership in high-end
technologies, during the India-France
Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) held in Paris, France.
·
The two countries also reviewed progress
on the India-France ‘Horizon 2047 roadmap’.

INDIA OFFICIALLY JOINS EURODRONE PROGRAMME AS OBSERVER STATE
·
India has officially
joined the Medium Altitude Long
Endurance Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (MALE RPAS) or Eurodrone
programme as the Observer State.
·
With this, India became the second Asia-Pacific country after Japan to
gain observer status.
·
Now India
is granted access to technical data and the ability to place orders for the
aircraft, they are not involved in the decision-making processes regarding
the platform’s design, development, or the distribution of work share among the
participating countries.
·
The
Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation is an intergovernmental
organization in Europe that manages and facilitates collaborative armament
programs.

BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAO COMPLETED 10
YEARS
·
The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme,
a flagship initiative led by the Government of India (GoI) which aims to
protect, educate, and empower the girl child in India, has completed 10 years of
successful implementation.
·
The scheme was launched by Prime Minister
(PM) NarendraModi on January 22, 2015 in
Panipat, Haryana.
·
It is a centrally sponsored scheme
(CSS) with 100% funding by the Central Government
in all the districts of the country under
Sambal vertical of Mission Shakti.
·
Initially, It was a collaborative
effort of MoWCD (Ministry
of Women and Child Development) with Ministry
of Health & Family Welfare (MoH&FW) and Ministry of Education (MoE)
·
Later, MWCD collaborated with Ministry of Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and Ministry
of Minority Affairs (MoMA), to expand the scope of BBBP.
5.
NITI AAYOG & NASSCOM FOUNDATION
TO DIGITALLY EMPOWER ONE LAKH PEOPLE

National Institution for Transforming
India (NITI
Aayog) and the National Association of Software and Service
Companies (NASSCOM) Foundation have entered
into a partnership to provide digital skills to
one lakh individuals with an aim to
reduce the issue of digital divide.
·
The collaboration comes under the
Aspirational Blocks Programme(ABP), and is aligned with the
Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyaan (PMGDISHA).
·
The
program focuses on training individuals between 12-60 years in
essential computer skills, cyber security, and internet usage.

INDIA’S 1ST AIR TAXI PROTOTYPE ‘SHUNYA’
·
Bengaluru (Karnataka)-based aerospace
startup company, Sarla Aviation Private Limited unveiled India’s
1st electric
vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) air taxi prototype,
‘Shunya’, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, held
at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi

For the initial phase, the company aims to
launch the electric air taxi in Bengaluru by 2028 to become the 1st to introduce urban air transport
in India.
·
It
is designed basically for short trips within the range of 20 to 30
kms and can reach a maximum speed of 250 kilometers
per hour (kmph).
·
The
vehicle will have the capacity to accommodate up to 6 passengers and carry a
maximum load of 680 kilogram (kg).
7.
BHARAT RANBHOOMI DARSHAN APP
·
Union
Minister Rajnath Singh, Ministry of
Defence(MoD) launched “Bharat Ran bhoomi Darshan” mobile
application (app) and website to enable civilians to visit and
explore significant battlefields along India’s borders.
·
This app was developed by the MoD, Ministry of Tourism(MoT), and the Indian Army(IA).
·
The app offers a comprehensive guide
to tourists, which
includes historical insights, battle accounts, stories of bravery, travel
information, and applications for permission to enter restricted places.
·
It includes detailed information
of 77 battlefield sites and provides visitors an in-depth overview of
some of the major military events.
·
As
part of their tour schedule, tourists can visit important locations like Siachen,
the world’s highest battlefield, and Galwan, the site of
the 2020 conflict between Indian and Chinese forces.
