‘SAGAR PARIKRAMA’ INAUGURATED AT GUJARAT
·
The Union
Ministry for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying ,ParshottamRupala
inaugurated the ‘SagarParikrama’, an initiative to solve the concerns of the
fishermen community in Gujarat.
·
The
Parikrama aims to understand challenges, experiences and aspirations of the
fishermen community and to solve the concerns of the fishermen.
·
The
initiative looks at the scope of seafood exports as the Country has a coastline
of 8118 kms.
·
It
covers 9 maritime States/4UTs
·
Gujarat
marks as the first state as part of Parikrama initiative.

NITIN CHUGH TO HEAD SBI’S DIGITAL BANKING AS DMD
·
SBI
has appointed Nitin Chugh as its Group Head of Digital Banking at the level of
Deputy Managing Director (DMD) for a period of 3 years initially.
·
His
new position in SBI would be responsible for envisioning, developing and in
execution of the bank’s digital banking strategy and business plan for
imparting digital knowledge/skills in a constructive, empowering and
collaborative way.

·
YONO: YONO (You Only Need One) – an integrated app for
financial services launched by SBI on 24 November 2017.

HANSA-NG: INDIA’S 1ST INDIGENOUS FLYING TRAINER COMPLETES SEA
LEVEL TRIALS
·
India’s
first indigenous flying trainer ‘HANSA-NG (New Generation)’ designed and
developed by Bengaluru (Karnataka) based CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories
(NAL), has successfully completed the sea-level trials at Puducherry
·
NAL
operates under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research
(CSIR).
·
HANSA-NG
is a
two-seater Hansa-NG is
a revamped version of the original HANSA developed three decades ago.
·
It is
designed to meet the need for trainer aircraft by flying clubs in India.
·
HANSA-NG
is an ideal aircraft for Commercial Pilot Licensing (CPL) due to its low cost
and low fuel consumption.
4.
SAMARTH-ENTREPRENEURSHIP
PROMOTION DRIVE
·
Union
Minister for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Narayan Rane launched
“SAMARTH”, a special entrepreneurship promotion drive for women.
·
SAMARTH will provide
women with self-employment opportunities and make them self-reliant and
independent. Under SAMARTH, 20% of seats in free skill development programs,
organized by the MSME ministry, will be allocated for women entrepreneurs,
which will help around 7,500 women in 2022-23.
·
Also, 20% of MSME
business delegations sent to domestic and international exhibitions for
marketing assistance under the schemes of MSME ministry will be dedicated to
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) owned by women. This initiative
will provide greater reach to the businesses of women.
·
20% discount on annual
processing fee on commercial schemes of the National Small Industries Corporation
(NSIC) can be availed by women entrepreneurs in 2022-23. A special Drive will
be conducted under Udyam Registration for the registration of women-owned
MSMEs.
