1. Jallianwala
Bagh National Memorial (Amendment) Bill 2019

The bill was first passed in Lok Sabha on
August 2, 2019. The Bill seeks to amend the Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial
Act, 1951. It seeks to remove Congress chief/ president of Indian National
Congress(INC) from being a permanent member of the Jallianwala Bagh memorial
trust which was established in Amritsar, Punjab in 1951.
2. “Road
Accidents in India-2018”
ü
Uttar Pradesh (UP)
ranked the highest position in terms of deaths due to road accidents. In 2018,
22,256 people lost their lives in the state where 42,568 road
accidents were reported.It is followed by Maharashtra ,where 13,261 people lost
their lives due to road accidents in 2018.

ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus)
was held in Bangkok, Thailand on November 18, 2019. Defence Minister of
India Shri Rajnath Singh along with 17 other defence ministers of the ADMM-Plus
countries participated in the meeting.
