Reserve Bank of India stated that the digital transactions till March 2019
witnessed tremendous growth and they will rise by four times from Rs 2,069
crore in December 2018 to Rs 8,707 crore in December 2021.

ZUZANA CAPUTOVA SWORN IN AS FIRST FEMALE PRESIDENT OF SLOVAKIA
✔Lawyer and
Anti-corruption campaigner, Zuzana Caputova sworn in as country’s Slovakia’s first
female president.
✔She
is the fifth president of Slovakia.
✔She
was honoured with the Goldman Environmental Award in 2016 for her strong
leadership regarding the Pezinok landfill affair, Caputova.

WORLD ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD IN HERTOGENBOSCH, NETHERLANDS
✔The
50th edition of World Archery Championships 2019 also known as Hyundai World
Archery Championships held in ‘S–Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands.

Korea topped the medal tally followed by Chinese Taipei came second.
✔India
won three medals. Indian men’s recurve team bagged a silver medal.
