JOT SINGH HONOURED WITH TENZING NORGAY NATIONAL ADVENTURE AWARD
i. President Pranab Mukherjee honoured
Indo-Tibetan Border Police Officer and mountaineer Jot Singh with The Tenzing
Norgay National Adventure Award.
i) Tenzing Norgay National Adventure award is
named after Indian Nepalese Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay
ii) It is given by Union Minister of Youth
Affairs and Sports
2. KANNADA WRITER DR.M.M KALBURGI DIED
i. Senior
Kannada writer and former Vice Chancellor of Kannada University Dr. M.M.
Kalburgi was shot dead by unidentified persons.

He was conferred with the Sahitya Academy Award.
